About the Department

The Public Relations Department is one of the vital departments within the Municipality, playing a key role in managing institutional communication, shaping a positive public image, and strengthening channels of communication with citizens, media outlets, and governmental and civil society institutions.

The Department works to communicate the Municipality’s mission, activities, and programs with transparency and professionalism. It also receives and follows up on citizens’ feedback and complaints, contributing to service improvement and enhancing public trust.

  • Managing the Municipality’s media communications and issuing official news and press releases.
  • Receiving and following up on citizens’ complaints and feedback in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Organizing meetings, conferences, events, and community activities.
  • Strengthening communication with local community institutions, official bodies, and media organizations.
  • Documenting and archiving municipal activities through media coverage.
  • Managing the Municipality’s social media platforms and official website.
  • Preparing informational, awareness, and promotional materials related to municipal services.

  • Developing an electronic complaints management system in partnership with the Municipality’s Information Technology unit.
  • Updating the Municipality’s official website and social media platforms.
  • Establishing a digital media archive for municipal activities.
