As part of joint efforts to support citizens and strengthen their steadfastness, Adh Dhahiriya Municipality and Zanuta Village Council held a meeting attended by representatives of land defense institutions, including the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Palestinian security services, a representative of the Governor of Hebron, and representatives of the South Hebron Region, along with local residents and farmers.

The meeting focused on ways to support the residents of Zanuta Village and assist their return to their lands and homes following the forced displacement campaign they were subjected to by extremist settlers.

Participants discussed the challenges faced by the village, including the cutting of water and electricity services, restrictions on access to grazing lands, attacks on and burning of agricultural crops, all of which caused significant damage to residents and their sources of livelihood. The meeting also addressed efforts to rehabilitate and restore homes that had been destroyed by settlers in the village.

Those present emphasized the importance of unifying official, community, and legal efforts to defend the rights of citizens, provide the necessary means for resilience and stability, and continue pursuing legal and humanitarian actions related to the residents of Zanuta. They stressed that these efforts are essential to helping residents remain on their land in the face of the unprecedented expansion of settlement activities.

During the meeting, Mayor of Adh Dhahiriya, Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, expressed his appreciation to Attorney Qamar Mashriqi and Mr. Nasr Nawaja'a for their dedicated efforts in following up on the legal cases and procedures related to the Zanuta Village file.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to continuing coordination and cooperation to support the people of Zanuta and protect their rights, land, and livelihood.
