Mayor of Adh-Dhahiriya Receives Chairman of Dura Al-Amal Charitable Society and Discusses Ways to Strengthen Cooperation

The Mayor of Adh-Dhahiriya, Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, received Dr. Mohammad Taha Al-Sayed Ahmad, Chairman of Dura Al-Amal Charitable Society, and an accompanying delegation from the Society’s staff, in the presence of Municipal Council Member Adeeb Wreidat and Municipal Director Ahmad Qeisiya, during a visit to the headquarters of Adh-Dhahiriya Municipality.

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed several issues and topics of mutual interest, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between Adh-Dhahiriya Municipality and Dura Al-Amal Charitable Society, particularly with regard to the Special Education Center operated by the Municipality in the Al-Mashrou’ area, in a manner that contributes to improving services provided to residents of the southern region.

 

The Mayor was briefed on the Society’s efforts in the fields of rehabilitation and healthcare, as well as its key projects and future plans, foremost among them the proposed Al-Amal Rehabilitation Hospital in the city of Dura, with a planned capacity of up to 120 medical beds.

 

Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa emphasized the importance of supporting specialized healthcare and rehabilitation projects and strengthening partnership and integration between local authorities and civil society organizations, given their role in improving the quality of services provided to citizens.

 

For his part, Dr. Mohammad Taha Al-Sayed Ahmad expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and reaffirmed the Society’s commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination with Adh-Dhahiriya Municipality in a way that serves the local community and strengthens joint institutional work.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and expanding areas of cooperation in a manner that serves the public interest and benefits citizens.
