Dhahiriya Municipality Launches Innovative Digital Services as Part of the Digital Transformation Project
Al-Dhahiriya Municipality Crowns Its Participation in the Digital Transformation Project with a Package of Digital Services
As part of the conclusion of the “Digital Transformation for Comprehensive Municipal Services” project, implemented by the Palestinian Information Technology Association (PITA) in partnership with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, Al-Dhahiriya Municipality has emerged as one of the leading local authorities in adopting modern technological solutions. This achievement comes thanks to the continuous follow-up and dedicated efforts of the municipal project team and the project coordinator, Engineer Youssef Al-Shroukh, who presented Al-Dhahiriya Municipality’s experience and the digital solutions developed and implemented during the project.
During the project period, the municipality worked on developing a digital ecosystem aimed at facilitating citizens’ lives and saving time and effort, which includes:
Advanced Website:
• A comprehensive platform for publishing news, announcements, and tenders.
• A complete digital guide of procedures, regulations, and municipal instructions to ensure transparency.
E-Services Portal:
• Inquiry and Payment: Enables citizens to inquire about outstanding financial obligations and pay them electronically and securely.
• Request Management: Allows citizens to submit service requests, track their status, and understand the requirements and procedures for each service from a single platform.
Smart Assistant (Chatbot):
• Activation of an interactive chat system to provide instant responses to citizens’ inquiries and supply necessary guidance and instructions 24/7.
Al-Dhahiriya Municipality is preparing to announce the launch of these services to the public in the coming days, once all technical data is finalized.
As stated by the municipality, “We look forward to reaching a stage where all services are fully provided electronically, linked with central government systems, ensuring faster transactions and enhanced work efficiency”
