Important Announcement | Registration Opens for Temporary Employment Opportunities under the “Cash for Work” (C4W) Programme
Dhahiriya Municipality, in partnership with the Agricultural Development Association (PARC) and the Palestinian Ministry of Labour, and within the project “Strengthening Resilience, Local Food Production, and Income for Vulnerable Groups, Cooperatives and Local Communities in the West Bank,” funded by the World Food Programme (WFP), announces the opening of registration for temporary paid employment opportunities at a rate of USD 30 per day for unemployed workers.
The programme aims to provide temporary employment opportunities in the agricultural, environmental, and community sectors, while supporting workers who have lost their jobs and sources of income.
Available Employment Opportunities in Dhahiriya:
Construction and Rehabilitation of Stone Terraces and Agricultural Basins:
Implementation of stone terrace construction, rehabilitation of damaged sections, and agricultural basin works.
2 workers – 30 working days per worker – during September.
Rehabilitation and Improvement of Dhahiriya Municipality Park:
Implementation of greening and cleaning activities, preparation of tree basins, tree pruning and maintenance, and weed removal within the park.
2 workers – 20 working days per worker – during September.
Main Eligibility Requirements:
- The applicant must be a resident of Dhahiriya and currently unemployed.
- The applicant must not have benefited from similar employment programmes during the last 3 months.
- The applicant must have the physical ability and technical skills required to perform the requested work.
- Priority will be given to applicants registered with the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Labour.
- Priority will be given to married applicants with children who support a larger number of family members.
- Priority will be given to workers who have lost their jobs and sources of income.
- Priority will be given to skilled and technical workers whose skills match the nature of the available employment opportunities.
- The programme encourages women and persons with disabilities to apply for tasks that are suitable for their abilities.
