Wadi Doma Area Rehabilitation of the Entrance to Othman Bin Affan School and Construction of a Sidewalk for Students
Part of the interventions carried out by Al-Dhahiriya Municipality teams on Othman Bin Affan School Street in the Wadi Doma area , Al-Dhahiriya Municipality continues to implement the “2026 Internal Roads Maintenance, Rehabilitation and Greening Project in Al-Dhahiriya”, funded by the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF), as part of its ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure and improve the services provided to citizens.
On Othman Bin Affan School Street in the Wadi Doma area, municipal teams carried out works that included rehabilitating the school entrance and constructing a dedicated sidewalk for students, with the aim of providing students with a safer pedestrian path and improving pedestrian movement in front of the school, thereby enhancing public safety and serving students and residents of the area.
This intervention is part of the project’s objectives to improve the condition of internal roads and streets, enhance the city’s urban appearance, and strengthen traffic safety and quality of life.
The project includes a range of works across different areas of Al-Dhahiriya, including:
✓ Expansion and rehabilitation of several internal roads.
✓ Construction of stone retaining walls along a number of city streets.
✓ Installation of concrete road shoulders to strengthen roads and improve the safety of road users.
✓ Construction and rehabilitation of sidewalks.
✓ Greening and beautification works.
✓ Installation of rainwater drainage networks.
Al-Dhahiriya Municipality reaffirms its commitment to continuing projects and interventions that address residents’ needs, with particular attention to improving safety and services around schools and public facilities.
