Al-Dhahiriya Municipality Participates in a Meeting to Support the Agricultural Sector and Strengthen Farmers’ Resilience

Al-Dhahiriya Municipality, represented by Mayor Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, participated in the meeting of the heads of municipalities in Hebron Governorate, held in the presence of H.E. Minister of Agriculture Dr. Rizq Salimiyah. The meeting focused on discussing ways to support the agricultural sector and strengthen the resilience of farmers across the governorate.

 

The meeting addressed the key challenges facing the agricultural sector and the needs of farmers, while exploring mechanisms for joint cooperation and strengthening the partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and local government units. These efforts aim to support farmers, protect agricultural land, and strengthen the resilience of citizens across different areas of the governorate.

 

Participants emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and integrating the roles of all relevant stakeholders, as well as working together to advance the agricultural sector, which is one of the vital sectors and key pillars of the national economy and an essential component in strengthening the resilience of our people and protecting and utilizing agricultural land.

 

Al-Dhahiriya Municipality reaffirmed its continued commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and standing alongside farmers, while strengthening cooperation with relevant institutions and stakeholders in order to serve the residents of the city, preserve agricultural land, and support the resilience of the local community.
