Delegation from Al-Dhahiriya, Yatta, and As-Samu' Municipalities Meets with Jordanian MP Raed Raba' Al-Dhahrawi to Discuss Facilitating Travel through the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the brotherly relations and enhance cooperation between Palestine and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a delegation representing the municipalities of Al-Dhahiriya, Yatta, and As-Samu' met with Jordanian Member of Parliament Raed Raba' Al-Dhahrawi to discuss a number of issues of importance to the residents of Hebron Governorate, with particular emphasis on the online booking platform and travel procedures at the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge.

 

The delegation included Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, Mayor of Al-Dhahiriya; Mr. Khalil Abu Awwad, Mayor of As-Samu'; Mr. Mohammad Omar Abu Subha, Mayor of Yatta; Mr. Mohammad Ismail Al-Hawamdeh, Deputy Mayor of As-Samu'; Mr. Suleiman Abu Allan, Media Coordinator of Al-Dhahiriya Municipality; and businessman Mr. Ayyoub Al-Hawamdeh (Abu Shahada).

 

During the meeting, the municipal leaders reviewed the challenges faced by Palestinian travelers crossing the King Hussein Bridge, particularly those related to the online booking platform and the associated travel procedures. They called for additional measures to facilitate travel and ease the burden on Palestinian citizens, especially in light of the difficult humanitarian and economic conditions they continue to face.

 

For his part, MP Raed Raba' Al-Dhahrawi welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the deep-rooted brotherly ties between the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples. He emphasized that Jordan, under the leadership of the Hashemite Kingdom and with the support of its people, will continue to stand by the Palestinian people, work to alleviate their hardships, and defend their legitimate rights.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation expressed its appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality, praising Jordan's longstanding and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. The participants also emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation in ways that serve the interests of citizens and further strengthen the historic ties between the two brotherly peoples.
