Adh Dhahiriya Municipality Receives the Director General of the Palestinian Land and Water Settlement Authority to Strengthen Cooperation

Adh Dhahiriya Municipality welcomed Mr. Qasem Kanaan, Director General of the Palestinian Land and Water Settlement Authority, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Mayor Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, members of the Municipal Council, and heads of municipal departments to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation and coordination on issues related to land settlement and public services.

 

During the meeting, both sides discussed several matters of mutual interest, focusing on mechanisms to accelerate land settlement procedures in order to protect citizens' property rights, improve land registration, and address the main challenges facing residents in this field.

 

The participants also agreed to complete a significant number of pending land settlement basins as quickly as possible by assigning additional staff to the local office and providing the necessary support to enhance its efficiency and improve the quality of services.

 

Mayor Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa stressed that the coming period requires accelerating the completion of pending settlement basins and opening new ones to speed up the land settlement process in Adh Dhahiriya, noting that this remains one of the municipality's and citizens' key priorities.

 

Both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining close cooperation and coordination between the Municipality and the Palestinian Land and Water Settlement Authority in order to serve the public interest, facilitate procedures, overcome obstacles, and complete settlement work in accordance with legal standards and the highest levels of efficiency.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts and strengthening their partnership in support of sustainable development and improved services for the residents of Adh Dhahiriya.
