Al-Dhahiriya Municipality Launches Maintenance Works on the Five-a-Side Football Field as Part of the Community Recovery and Job Creation Project
Al-Dhahiriya Municipality has officially launched maintenance works on its five-a-side football field at the Municipal Park as part of the Community Recovery and Job Creation Project. The initiative reflects the municipality's ongoing commitment to improving public infrastructure, enhancing public safety, preserving public facilities, and raising the quality of services provided to residents.
The project is part of broader government efforts to strengthen the resilience of local authorities, create temporary employment opportunities, and improve essential public services through the implementation of the Community Recovery and Job Creation Project under the first component: Labor-Intensive Infrastructure.
The project is funded by the World Bank, implemented in partnership with the Palestinian Fund for Reconstruction and Development, supported by the Government of Canada and managed by the World Bank. It is carried out through the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF) in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Planning, the Ministry of Local Government, and the Palestinian Ministry of Labour.
The maintenance works include installing new artificial turf, repairing the surrounding fence, and carrying out general maintenance of the stadium stands, contributing to a safer and better-equipped sports facility while preserving one of Al-Dhahiriya's key recreational and community venues.
