As part of promoting the values of volunteerism and community service, the Council of Elders, in cooperation with Adh Dhahiriya Municipality and the Palestinian Civil Defense, organized a campaign to clean Al-Tamra Cemetery.

The campaign was attended by Deputy Mayor Amjad Al-Hawareen, Municipal Council members Ansar Qaisiya, Adeeb Wreidat, Bassem Samamra, and Issa Al-Battat, along with a number of volunteers and residents of the city.

Deputy Mayor Al-Hawareen expressed his sincere appreciation to the Council of Elders and all participants for their valuable efforts, praising the spirit of cooperation and community responsibility that contributed to the success of this initiative.

He emphasized that maintaining the cleanliness of cemeteries is a shared responsibility and noted that cemetery maintenance is one of the routine duties carried out by the Municipality’s Health Department. He added that the Council of Elders’ initiative represents valuable community support that helps preserve the cemeteries while easing the workload of the municipal health crews.

He also called for the continuation of such volunteer initiatives, stressing their important role in strengthening community solidarity, fostering a sense of belonging, and encouraging active participation in serving Adh Dhahiriya and its residents.
