Al-Dhahiriya Municipality and the Joint Services Council Discuss Enhancing Solid Waste Management and Environmental Services
As part of its ongoing efforts to improve environmental and public health services, Al-Dhahiriya Municipality held a meeting with the Hebron Joint Services Council for Solid Waste Management. The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Al-Dhahiriya, Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisat, members of the Municipal Council, staff from the Municipality’s Services and Health Department, and the Director of the Joint Services Council, Eng. Abdel Hay Arafa.
During the meeting, both parties discussed mechanisms for developing and improving the solid waste management system in Al-Dhahiriya. They reviewed the key challenges facing the public health sector and waste collection services, as well as opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve service quality in line with the needs of residents and environmental protection requirements.
The discussion also covered future plans and programs aimed at increasing environmental awareness, improving public cleanliness standards, and strengthening cooperation between the Municipality and the Joint Services Council to provide a healthier and safer environment while preserving the city’s appearance and environmental sustainability.
Mayor Eng. Ali Al-Awaisat emphasized the importance of the partnership between Al-Dhahiriya Municipality and the Joint Services Council, expressing his appreciation for the continuous cooperation and coordination between both institutions. He noted that this collaboration contributes significantly to improving service quality and achieving shared goals related to environmental protection and maintaining a clean city.
For his part, Eng. Abdel Hay Arafa reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to continuing cooperation with Al-Dhahiriya Municipality and developing joint programs and initiatives that enhance service efficiency, sustainability, and the ability to address environmental and public health challenges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination and cooperation, working together to achieve the highest standards of service delivery, improve residents’ quality of life, and ensure a clean, healthy, and safe environment for the people of Al-Dhahiriya.
