Mayor of Al-Dhahiriya Meets with REFORM to Explore Opportunities for Cooperation and Development Partnership
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand cooperation and build strategic partnerships with local and international institutions, the Mayor of Al-Dhahiriya, Eng. Ali Al-Awaisat, accompanied by Municipal Council Members Adeeb Wreidat and Lujain Al-Tal, Municipal Director Ahmad Qaisiya, and Public Relations Officer Suleiman Abu Allan, met with Mr. Odai Abu Karsh, Director General of REFORM, at the organization’s headquarters in Ramallah.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and networking between Al-Dhahiriya Municipality and various partner institutions in order to attract development and service-oriented projects that address community needs and support the municipality’s efforts to improve infrastructure and public services.
The municipal delegation emphasized the Municipality’s commitment to maintaining an open and collaborative approach with local and international organizations, aiming to establish effective and sustainable partnerships that contribute to local development and create new opportunities that benefit the community and improve citizens’ quality of life.
The meeting also addressed mechanisms for establishing a Youth Council in Al-Dhahiriya, recognizing its importance as a platform for empowering young people, encouraging their participation in public life, and strengthening their role in local decision-making processes. In addition, several initiatives and ideas were discussed to further engage youth in community service and development efforts.
Both parties also reviewed a number of issues and topics of mutual interest and stressed the importance of continued coordination, cooperation, and knowledge exchange to support sustainable and inclusive development in Al-Dhahiriya.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to expanding cooperation in the coming period and working together on initiatives and projects that generate tangible benefits for residents and contribute to the city’s economic and social development.
