Adh Dhahiriya Municipality Discusses Development Projects with the Municipal Development and Lending Fund

Mayor of Adh Dhahiriya, Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, met with Dr. Mohammad Al-Ramahi, Director General of the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF), at the Fund’s headquarters in Ramallah. The meeting was attended by Municipal Council members Adeeb Wreidat and Lujain Al-Tall, Municipality Director Ahmad Qaisiya, Director of Planning and Projects Eng. Lina Sbeih, Public Relations Officer Suleiman Abu Allan, as well as members of the MDLF team.

 

During the meeting, both parties discussed prospects for enhanced cooperation between Adh Dhahiriya Municipality and the Municipal Development and Lending Fund, while reviewing the city’s development priorities and essential service needs. The discussions focused on projects that would contribute to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.

 

Mayor Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa highlighted that the municipality is currently preparing to implement several key projects, including the Adh Dhahiriya Municipal Commercial Complex in the city center and the paving of several roads throughout the city. These projects are part of the grant awarded to the municipality through the Fund. He also expressed his appreciation to the Fund’s management and staff for their continued support and close coordination with the municipality in implementing various development initiatives.

 

For his part, Dr. Mohammad Al-Ramahi praised the efforts of Adh Dhahiriya Municipality, represented by its mayor, council members, and staff, emphasizing the municipality’s commitment to development and continuous engagement with the Fund. He noted that Adh Dhahiriya achieved an advanced performance classification, which enabled it to secure the Fund’s grant and will have a significant positive impact on the city’s future development.

 

The meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with supporting institutions and coordinate initiatives aimed at implementing impactful development projects that serve citizens and align with the municipality’s vision of advancing the city, improving services, and fostering cooperation with various institutions.
