Engineer Ali Abbas Al-Shabaan Elected Mayor of Adh Dhahiriya Municipality by Unanimous Vote

In the first session of the newly elected municipal council, held today, Saturday, May 9, 2026, Engineer Ali Abbas Al-Shabaan was unanimously elected as Mayor of Adh Dhahiriya by all members of the municipal council, reflecting the great confidence in his experience and distinguished professional and municipal career.

 

Engineer Ali Abbas Al-Shabaan is considered one of the prominent figures in the fields of engineering, management, and institutional work. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from universities in Libya and has a rich professional record full of achievements and diverse experiences in many professional and administrative positions.

 

He held several important positions, most notably serving as Quality Manager at Royal Factories, and he currently works as the Executive Director of Al-Mustaqbal Company. In addition, he serves as Head of the Investment Committee at the Engineers Association, Treasurer of the Hebron Engineers Committee, and a member of the Classification Committee at the Palestinian Standards Institution. He has also received numerous specialized training courses inside and outside Palestine in management and ISO quality systems.

 

Engineer Al-Shabaan also possesses previous experience in municipal work, having previously served as Mayor of Adh Dhahiriya, where he contributed throughout his career to serving the city and developing various sectors.
