Recommendations Related to the Public Interest to Limit Land Leakage Issued by H.E. the Minister of Local Government, Dr. Sami Hijjawi.
In light of the existence of some cases related to the sale and leakage of land, a set of urgent measures related to the public interest will be implemented, as follows:
Anyone wishing to sell their land to a person from the 1948 territories must review the Palestinian security agencies and Al-Dhahiriya Municipality to obtain prior approval before completing the sale.
Anyone who has previously sold land to a person from the 1948 territories must present the sale agreements, the buyer’s full four-part name, and complete information to be registered with the competent authorities.
Any person wishing to sell their land to another person from the same town must review Al-Dhahiriya Municipality or the relevant Palestinian security agencies.
Anyone found violating the above instructions will be subject to legal accountability.
Citizens of Al-Dhahiriya are kindly requested to comply with the instructions issued by the official authorities. Al-Dhahiriya Municipality will follow up on any land sale or purchase transactions conducted by citizens through the Palestinian security agencies and the competent authorities, under legal liability.
