Al-Dhahiriya Municipality Meets Hebron District Police Director to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation and Establishing Specialized Police Offices in the City
Mayor of Al-Dhahiriya Eng. Ali Al-Awaisa, accompanied by Municipal Council members Bassem Samamreh, Adeeb Wreidat, Eng. Ismail Rabaa, and Khaled Jabareen, met with Hebron District Police Director Brigadier General Nasser Abu Hanani, in the presence of Al-Dhahiriya Police Director Major Muath Al-Atawneh, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between Al-Dhahiriya Municipality and the Hebron District Police.
During the meeting, the participants discussed ways to further develop cooperation between the Municipality and the Police and strengthen community partnership. They also addressed several issues and needs related to the public interest, security, and safety in the city, most notably the proposed establishment of a Criminal Investigation Office and an Anti-Narcotics Office in Al-Dhahiriya, which would contribute to strengthening security and improving the level of police services provided to citizens.
Eng. Ali Al-Awaisa reaffirmed Al-Dhahiriya Municipality’s commitment to continued cooperation with the Police and all official institutions. He praised the efforts of the Police in maintaining security and public order and emphasized that coordination and complementary roles among institutions are essential to responding effectively to citizens’ needs and serving the city.
For his part, Brigadier General Nasser Abu Hanani reaffirmed the Police’s commitment to continued cooperation and coordination with Al-Dhahiriya Municipality and local institutions, in a manner that strengthens security, stability, community partnership, and the public interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continued communication, coordination, and joint action to provide better services to citizens and enhance security, public order, and safety throughout Al-Dhahiriya.
