Al-Dhahiriya Municipality Discusses Priority Development Projects with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government

A delegation from Al-Dhahiriya Municipality, headed by Mayor Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, met with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Mr. Raed Muqbel, in the presence of Mr. Jihad Mashaqi, Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Ministry. The delegation included Municipal Council members Adeeb Wreidat, Areej Al-Tal, and Hala Abu Sharkh, Municipal Director Mr. Ahmad Qaisiya, Director of Projects Eng. Mohammad Abu Dbour, and Public Relations Officer Suleiman Abu Allan.

 

The meeting focused on discussing a number of priority development issues and municipal projects that are planned for implementation during the coming period. Particular attention was given to the Shweika Road Project, which is expected to significantly improve transportation and serve the eastern part of the city, in addition to water network projects that target several residential communities and will contribute to improving water services for residents.

 

The two sides also discussed a number of municipal matters requiring coordination with various government ministries and institutions, emphasizing the importance of close cooperation to facilitate procedures, overcome challenges, and accelerate the implementation of development projects that meet the city's needs.

 

Mr. Raed Muqbel reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to supporting local government units by following up on their priorities and strengthening cooperation to ensure the successful implementation of development projects and the continuous improvement of municipal services.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Mayor and the accompanying delegation expressed their sincere appreciation to the Undersecretary and the Ministry's staff for their prompt response, constructive cooperation, and continuous efforts to remove obstacles facing Al-Dhahiriya Municipality, contributing to the successful implementation of projects that serve the city and its residents.
