Adh Dhahiriya Municipality Signs Agreement for the 2026 Internal Roads Maintenance, Rehabilitation, and Greening Project
As part of its continuous efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of services provided to residents, Adh Dhahiriya Municipality has signed the agreement for the implementation of the 2026 Internal Roads Maintenance, Rehabilitation, and Greening Project, funded by the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF), with Bustanji Building Materials Company.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa, several members of the Municipal Council, and representatives of the contracting company.
The project aims to improve road infrastructure across various neighborhoods of Adh Dhahiriya, enhance traffic safety, and upgrade the city's urban landscape through a range of infrastructure and beautification works.
The project includes:
Expansion and rehabilitation of several internal roads.
Construction of stone retaining walls along selected streets.
Installation of concrete shoulders to improve road durability and safety.
Construction and rehabilitation of sidewalks.
Landscaping and greening works.
Installation of stormwater drainage networks in the Old Town to reduce water accumulation and protect infrastructure.
Mayor Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Awaisa emphasized that this project represents another important step in the Municipality's comprehensive plan to upgrade the city's road network and improve the urban environment across different neighborhoods.
He expressed his appreciation to the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF) for its continued support of development projects and reaffirmed the Municipality's commitment to implementing the project according to the highest technical standards and within the specified timeframe, serving the best interests of the residents of Adh Dhahiriya.
