The Palestinian Council of Ministers announced that Sunday, March 8, will be an official holiday across all ministries, public institutions, and governmental bodies, in observance of International Women’s Day.

 

 

This decision reflects appreciation for the pivotal role played by Palestinian women in various spheres of life—political, social, economic, and cultural—and acknowledges their continuous contributions to community development and national resilience. The occasion also serves as an opportunity to highlight women’s rights, promote equal opportunities, and reinforce efforts aimed at empowering women at all levels.

 

 

The Council affirmed that this national and international occasion underscores its ongoing commitment to supporting women’s issues and strengthening their active participation in the comprehensive development process.
